"16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis was arrested in Georgia yesterday ... after cops say she shoplifted a pregnancy test from a local Walmart ... and used it in the store.
According to the police report, the 20-year-old MTV star stashed a First Response pregnancy test in a hooded jacket ... and then "took it to the restroom with her and used one."
Purvis allegedly tried to sneak out of the store through a side door ... but she was busted by store security ... who put her under citizens arrest and called local police.
According to the report, the pregnancy test was valued at $15.98.
Purvis was hauled to a nearby police station where she was booked for misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
Purvis was featured on the MTV show in 2009. Her mother was busted for meth in Georgia last year.

Sources: Cocaine Removed from Whitney Houston Hotel Room | TMZ.com
Sources connected to Whitney Houston who were with Whitney the day she died tell TMZ ... an individual removed all traces of cocaine from the room before authorities arrived.
The Coroner's Office says Whitney used cocaine "immediately prior to her collapse." Investigators who arrived on scene found no traces of cocaine or any other illegal substance.
One source who is extremely close to the situation tells us ... the individual who removed the cocaine was also the person who supplied it to Whitney.
As we previously reported, other items were removed from the room as well, including bed sheets.
The Beverly Hills PD just told TMZ ... its investigation is not closed. Cops will not comment on whether they are looking at evidence tampering.

Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller successfully managed to transport her kids from Aspen back home to L.A. all by herself ... just days after she was popped for cocaine possession.
Mueller -- along with Bob and Max -- touched down at an L.A. airport, where they were met by a team of handlers who helped the gang into a waiting vehicle.
Once the family returned to Brooke's home, a mystery man was seen entering the property, hiding his face in a blanket.
The mystery man was most likely Charlie Sheen ... who has sworn to help out with the kids while Brooke deals with her legal and personal issues.

Struggling Soap Actor Nick Santino Commits Suicide After Euthanizing Beloved Dog | TMZ.com
A soap actor killed himself this week on his 47th birthday ... hours after he was forced to put his beloved dog to sleep under pressure from his Manhattan condo.
According to the NY Post the building had a ban on pit-bulls, but Nick Santino's dog had been grandfathered in ... which didn't sit well with some of the neighbors. Some claimed the dog was loud and aggressive, but others said building management was just harassing Santino ... trying to force him to get rid of the dog.
Santino had Rocco put to sleep on Tuesday -- for some reason he felt that was his only option.
According to the paper, a tearful Santino brought dog treats to the doorman and said, "Give these to the other dogs. Rocco is no more."
Later that day Santino left a suicide note that read, "Today I betrayed my best friend and put down my best friend ... Rocco trusted me and I failed him. He didn't deserve this."
Santino -- who has appeared on "All My Children" and "The Guiding Light" -- OD'd on pills early the next morning.
Rocco was cremated and friends told the Post Santino will be too.
